Exploring Achrafieh with Baldati.com We begin our day by a guided tour in Beirut. Ms. Rita Kalindjian , a knowledgeable woman with great experience in this domain, will give us a thorough explanation of everything we see in the tour . Our tour will start from : Sassine Square *The Basilica of the Miraculous Medal *Mar Mitir, *Saint Dimitrios Church, *Dfouni *St Nicholas Church *Sursock Residences and Museum *Daraj l fann downstairs to ... *Gemmayze
Then we go up again to reach: * Tabaris, *Rue Huvelin (Museum of Prehistory), *USJ campus *Monot... *Museum of the War...(Memory of Beirut-which is still under renovation and construction)
Then back to USJ, *Mar Maroun.. *Mohammad Al Amine Mosk * Mar Gerios Maronite church *Wadi Abou Jmil..(.where the army may not let us take photos or pass next to the synagogue..!! so we can either go back or change the path.) Then we continue toward: * Al Jame3 al Omari * The municipality of Beirut, passing in front of the samir kassir's garden and Al-Nahar building. Then we walk toward the martyr's square and finally we reach Gemmayze again. In this Tour you will have the oportunity to contemplate the most old streets where old red roof houses can still be found. Here is the final Ashrafieh-Wadi abou Jmil Trail ( 7.58 km long.)We are sure that our program will be enjoyable to all. So many of us don’t know much about our capital, but it is never too late to discover! Culture and fun all in one day….don’t miss it!
