Description:

 

 

Rachaya is a town of heritage and history it is rich in many old monuments.

 

Ain Horcheh, Tannoura and Ain Ata are a villages located in the Kaza of Rachaya they are rich in remains of ancient civilizations old sarcophagi and historical temple .

 

 

The hike will start from Tannoura village “Tannoura” is a Syriac and Aramaic word which means a traditional oven or “Tannur”  A word formed of two parts: “Tan”, which means “smoke” and “nour”, which means “light” 

 

The trail will be along a cliff overlooking breathtaking views until we reach the temple of Ain Horcheh to see a great temple from the second century still in a good shape built with massive blocks it's one of the best preserved temples in Lebanon as all four walls are upright, after visiting it there will be minimal time for rest and with 100 photo sessions... we will continue to the village of Ain Horcheh and we will go directly to rich the end of the hike at Ain Ata village
