Description:

Douma .....Again and Again and Again in Adha Holiday Whenever you come you’ll discover something New in This Red Roof Village perched on the top of the hill and very well known by its scorpion shape. Arriving to Douma the Bus will take to Mar Nohra where we will visit an old Roman temple transformed to a church during te Byzantin Period. Mar Nohra is Very well known for its big Oak Tree dating for more than 1000 year … From Mar Nohra we will visit Ain il Fawka well known in the region for it’s clean water then we will take a shortcut between the old traditional houses to arrive to the Catholic Church of Saydet il Bechara and a primary school that no longer open it’s door … few meters away on our right we will see Saydet il Najat for Maronites … we will continue our hike to reach the central place of Douma where an old sarcophagi was transported Dedicated to the Priest of Egia & Esclapio … From the central we will go and visit Mar Doumet the old Temple of Egia & Esclapio transformed later to a church … we will do a side walk on the tail of the scorpion where we can see a different view the 2 Churches of St. Simon and Saydit il Niyah … we will pass next the olives trees to reach the oldest house in douma Beit Bchir dating to 1895 … few meters away we will pass by an old Church Mar Doumet …and return through a stairs to reach the 2 biggest churches of the Town Saydet Niyeh and St. Simon … Next to the Churches the old souk of Douma where we can find different shops of Artisan and food suppliers as also we will pass by Cinema Douma renovated in 2012 … the Coffee place where the movie “Hala2 la Wein” was filmed … Bouza Zehlewi best ice cream in the region … On the way out of Douma we can pass by Mathaf il tourass ( it’s optional to visit) , Douma Rest House for the old people , Douma club, Hotel Douma

Later on an optional dinner for those who desires , Sandwiches , Saj & crepe are available
