Description: |
This SATURDAY , we will have the pleasure to hike and discover one of the oldest coastal villages of Lebanon ! We will start our hike in Anfeh then we will hike through the olive trees to Saydet -L- Natour, passing next to old churches, wells and tombs curved in rocks . In Saydet-L Natour, we will see part of what is left of the salt basins that are so famous in Anfeh. From there, we will have an unforgettable view over the newly built fishermen's village. From Dayr Saydet-L -Natour, we will continue our hike to reach the village, passing by what is left of Mar Mtanios convent, then we will visit Mar Youhanna convent. From there, we will walk toward the "L7ara L char2iyyeh"- the oldest part of Anfeh - pass by the two medieval churches of St Catherina and St Simeon. Then we will head to the Great Phoenician and Byzantines trenches of Anfeh and visit the promontory. Then we will go to Saydet - L -Ri7 and swim in the crystal clear water of Anfeh.
