Aytroun; a traditional village of Bint jbeil Lebanon; is apart 130 km from Beirut and around 12 km from Palestine. One of the biggest villages in south Lebanon holds 22,000 residents the number that had dramatically fell as it is the case for other southern villages due to conflicts between Lebanon and Israel. Some of them had emigrated to Beirut and suburbs while others had left the country searching for peace of mind and tranquility.

As its neighbor villages, Aytroun depends on cultivation mostly for income and dominated by tobacco, fruit trees and vegetables.

Five schools with around 750 students divided between public and private colleges and one large medical center occupy the village to hold and aid her people.
